David McClellan

David McClellan is a native of Wichita, Kansas and is a proud graduate of Wichita State University. In 2016 guided by his three passions: People, The Environment and Travel, David took a Sabbatical to serve his community, travel and consult non-profit organizations that teach at risk youth financial literacy and entrepreneurship. In 2017 he completed his Illinois Life & Health Insurance license. He also began work on a Master of Science degree and in 2019 he graduated from Roosevelt University’s prestigious Manfred Steinfeld School of Hospitality and Tourism Management.

Professionally, David has worked in the Financial Services Industry and Retail Management fields. A previously licensed FINRA Series 6, 7 & 63 investment professional, he served as a Regional Vice President for Calvert Investments and promoted their Fixed Income and SRI (Sustainable & Responsible Investing) Mutual Funds throughout the Midwest for 17 years. Presently, David works as a consultant and serves as the CBIE (Community Based Investment Enterprises) Launchpad Service Coordinator for ClimbUSA.org – whose mission is “to create and coordinate an economic empowerment ecosystem in which underserved youth, families, and communities can learn, grow, and thrive.”

A gifted motivational and public speaker, when at home in Chicago, David is involved in his local church, enjoys travel, fitness and is a happily reformed golfer. Additionally, he has published articles for travel magazines and is working on a collection of short stories and photographs for an upcoming book.
